Welcome
Weary Travelers;
I am Daniel J. Porter, a recent graduate of
Kent State University and an intern at the
Center for Strategic and International Studies. This website is a
portfolio of my work, my hobbies; artwork, music, writing, my thoughts-- and
it serves as an archive and portfolio of my work. You'll find a diverse
array of materials here... from the time I spent composing songs on my
Yamaha keyboard, learning 3D design and more recently, taking you through my
current research projects in Political Science. Over the years this
atmosphere has changed dramatically, but I've always felt it necessary to
have a "haven" of my own on this vast web of minds we call the internet; "Abhaile",
is the Irish Gaelic word for "homesward"-- pronounced uh-VWAHL-e. Our generation will be defined by this
new and fascinating technology that will forever link our world in ways our
ancestors could have never thought possible -- Daniel

Greetings from the nation's capital! (That's me in the front w/
my arms stretched out). |

"Every day you may make progress. Every
step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an
ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never
get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds
to the joy and glory of the climb." — Sir Winston Churchill
